3G network comes to a close

With the ongoing termination of 3G by  AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile  in the USA this February to free up spectrum for 5G. Essentially to increase internet 📶 speeds and coverage.
1G first generation

2G second generation
wireless network
• Designed for voice
• Improved coverage and capacity

3G third generation
 wireless network
• Designed for voice with some data consideration (multimedia, text, internet)
• First mobile broadband

4G forth generation
wireless network
• Designed primarily for data
• IP-based protocols (LTE)
• True mobile broadband

5G basically provides the wireless network with lower latency, higher capacity, and increased bandwidth. The termination of 3G will therefore have a great contribution towards 5G growth.
